In order to understand how I feel about this track, I feel it’s important that you understand me as a person. My name is Tony, and as you can see, I am from Lauderdale. I got my love of breaking music down and knowing what it’s about from Philadelphia, though. When I used to live in Philadelphia, for the couple of years that I lived there, I was a part of a program where we broke down hip-hop songs. It just so happens that the hip-hop songs we broke down, especially the ones I remember the most, were “Hard Knock Life” by Jay-Z, “If I Ruled the World” by Nas, “Living in a World” by Trick Daddy, “I Seen a Man Die” by Scarface, and “Cell Therapy” by Goodie Mob. The last of which, I strongly feel like this song resembles with a similar message. That set the groundwork for how I listened to music in the future.
